Crouching Spring, Hidden Bloom

Spring is slowly creeping, inch by inch, upon us poor, unsuspecting gardeners. Before we know it, it will pounce and devour us in one fell swoop with its breathtaking blooms.
Slowly, o so slowly it's drawing nearer, bloom by tiny bloom.
Softly, softly it comes closer and closer
a sudden flash of colour and then
all is calm and peaceful again.
And with soft pastel colours
and lovely white bells tinkling in the breeze we are lulled to sleep.
But gardener beware! Beneath that innocent blue sky with fluffy white clouds a dragon is waiting to slay you.
It's hiding now, but soon it will rear it's fire-y head
and scorch you to a crisp.
From beneath it devours,
rip you to shreds,
devastate you with its beauty effulgent,
until there is nothing left........

Spring does look to be about ready to explode in your garden Yolanda. What beautiful little treasures you have popping up.

Oh my! How pretty! Spring is just teasing us here with the warm day, cold day, warm day dance. The poor little flowers are confused....

* Lisa: We had very mild weather this weekend (10 to 14C) and today it's sunny and mild too. Things seem to explode into bloom all of a sudden after that cold winter we've had.

* Cashbah Kitten: this is the third day that it's around 10 to 14 C but they are predicting night frosts this week too. It's not spring yet!

Such beautiful signs of spring in your garden Yolanda!

The wisteria is breathtaking. I can imagine how much you must look forward to it bursting into bloom.

LG Lis

Yay! Spring is coming to the Bliss neighborhood! I love your hellebores -- thank you for sharing their beauty.

What is beautiful about Spring is the beauty which initially comes as a sustained release, followed by a deluge, and finally, a mass grave of all the spring blooms.
It is a crouching spring and hidden bloom at Bliss, while at Indiagarden it is almost a creeping away spring and hidden scorching summer gloom!

Enjoy all your lovely Spring blooms!

As you say Yolanda spring is slowly creeping in and oh what a time of expectation before it takes off at great speed :)

I'm trying to stop myself taking the warmer weather for granted. It's tempting to bring slightly tender plants out of the greenhouse. I must be strong!

I happy to see that spring is around the corner in your garden

Spring has arrived for you. Isn't it amazing how quickly in progresses once it truly begins.

I love the first signs of spring! I thought we might soon see something here, but today, it all got covered up by 8 inches of snow! So, we wait another few weeks. Sigh...

Your pictures gave me the fix I needed, though =)

That one certainly is a beauty!
Can't wait to see the other come in bloom and spread his or her beauty around!
Hopefully soon I will visit the Helleboregarden again and will blog about it then, there are only 5 plants bloming now, so I still have to be patient.
How is your Hamamelis doing?
Has it the fragance it promised?

Yes, one really needs to crouch down to see some spring blooms up close! :)

Hi YE, oh so slowly, creeping and twisting, spring is coiling here too. We are more than ready. I thought for sure you were going to show a crouching kitty hiding in the beauties, ready to pounce.

One must tiptoe through the tulips in order to let sleeping snapdragons lie! Loved seeing your flowers coming along ~ your countdown to Spring is finally within reach. Great title!
