Boohoo

I have to write a post today but I don't know what to blog about. This is bad, really really bad because I've read on the Internet that you should blog regularly, twice or trice a week otherwise visitor numbers will be dropping.
And we can't have that, can we?
Well yes actually, who cares about numbers? Not I. And another thing: do I really have to blog? Who says so? When I turn round there is no one there holding a gun against my head forcing me to blog, is there? And hey (looking out of the window) the sun is out and the wind has died down, time for a spot of gardening, I'm off. Toodle pip!
BTW gentle reader, have you sussed out my cunning plan yet? By complaining about having nothing to blog about I've just done a post for my blog. Oh, the irony!
It always cracks me up when fellow bloggers complain that they have nothing to write about, no inspiration at all. Well, is that really an excuse not to blog? ;-)

Never take the ' I can't see it' attitude. By exercising a little vision you will come to realise that the tree, which has a possible future, perhaps a great one, may be more important than you, nearing your end.

Very good! I always think I'll run out of things to say, but pretty soon, something comes along that I want to rant about. Talking of which, I might just go and have a rant right now...

While you may not have much to blog about your pictures of the garden are worth the effort. I love seeing the spring garden emerge.

The word verification is weedywi. I thought that amusing.

HA YE, good one! Many of us are suffering from that ennui, sick and tired of winter, but not quite spring. It is certainly looking spring like at your place though, have fun outside! Maybe you will be inspired to write that Pulitzer prize winning post! HA

Oh dear my heart stopped for a moment when I saw the "Boo hoo" I thought something had happened to one of the cats (or honorary cat Tara).

I love this time of year in the garden suddenly there are little smatterings of colour from my dwarf bulbs, heathers and saxifrages. The only down side is that the cats have started on the annual frog destruction trail..

Hehehe. Stupid us, we even enjoyed this post! We are indeed looking forward to each one of your post, so numbers matter for us: The more the better! ; )
And mom has to get some of these winter aconites!

Loved the pictures! Even if you didn't have anything to blog about. Soon we'll have plenty to blog about. Temperatures here should reach 65 today and 70s on the weekend.

Oh goodness, so that's where my blog visitors went ~ who'd have thunk it? Your photographs of spring are beautiful, Yolanda Elizabet. And it doesn't look as if Tara has discovered the joys of digging yet... enjoy your gardening!!

Very clever!

I see some bloggers have a stock of back up posts to use when inspiration refuses to strike.
I think staring into the garden or nudging one of the cats outside works better. Hopefully the cat will do something interesting rather than lie back down.
On second thoughts staring at the garden may work better!

I seem to have the opposite problem, too much to say and not enough time in which to say it. My head is always a whirl of ideas. (Not so good at 11 at night.) I enjoyed the glimpses of spring beauty in your garden.

I am following you on Blogger so I'll never miss a post no matter how long in between. No need to worry about losing me!

It looks like spring has found you!

My problem is more about having too much to blog about -- having nothing to do at all with an exciting existence! All one has to do is look out the window for inspiration. :-) Now, what are those adorable yellow flowers in the first and second photos? The ones with the snowdrops? Your spring garden is wonderful, Yolanda.

Oh! that was intelligent. It requires exceptional talent to always come up with something to write about. But to come up with a post on your apparent inability to come up with a post is even better.
Regular posting or not, two posts in a week or a biweekly post, I am gonna remain a regular at Bliss and will wait for a post howsoever frequent or infrequent it may be.

I think that it's more a case of not feeling like blogging rather than not having anything to blog about!
I usually post every Sunday and Thursday, and have done since I started. It's got easier but I always keep a couple of items handy for when I do think I've nothing to write about!
Lovely post as usual, and if I've not said so before I love that header photo of Tara.
Take care! xx

Hi Yolanda....love the little iris.....
I agree, sometimes I just don't feel like blogging but always make excuses.....
We should do a post when we want to.....and do numbers really matter...it is not a competition...it is supposed to be fun......
Enjoy the sunshine.....

The iris is such a stunning colour.

Aiyana said...

Beautiful colors. Sometimes I have a photo to post and that saves the day. Other times I could post but don't have a photo. Usually I manage both a couple of times a week. It used to be every day, but then I started spreading my posts out to twice a week. I always like reading your posts, even if you say you have nothing to say!

Yes! I agree, it is hard to come up with something interesting, especially this time of year when there isn't much to see. You can always fall back on photos of cats and dogs! they are always universally popular!

Gee, look at all of these gorgeous flowers! I wonder what you could possibly post about? ;D

Hi Tara and Yolanda I love your 'nothing' post, you have spring in your garden and I love it....Ah...the Netherlands.

I wish you a sunny and lovely weekend in your little Eden.

Very clever post Yolanda! You never fail to surprise and delight!

Have a wonderful weekend.

your post makes it so clear :) if you have a need to blog, blog. If no need, who cares?
readers care. in the course of blogging you made, many of them started to like your approach, way you see things around you and want to see and read more.
However,
if somebody feels really bored, or wants to do something else, that is the freedom of choice.
Lovely post :)

Wow, I wish my winter aconites liked me as much as yours like you! And please, what is the name of the beautiful iris?

healingmagichands said...

I was in awe of your aconites too! I have never had any luck with them although I have planted them several times.

Nothing to blog about my foot!

Fijn weekend verder!

I'm an exception, but I only post when I want to, and that's hardly ever more than once a week. I like comments (love them!), but I'm not one who can force myself to write. (I guess because it's my day job, I have the opposite problem. I often don't want to write recreationally!)

I started to grin about the second sentence in, because I knew what would be coming. There ARE days when I don't know what to blog about for about five seconds, then some idea pops in. Usually its more a case of not having enough time...

As always you have some lovely pics on your blog!! I am busily trying to catch up and hope to blog abit myself soon!

I have had a happy half hour trawling backwards to catch up with the posts I have missed since my last visit, Yolanda, as I like to read all you post about the garden and the kitties and Tara :)

I have enjpyed all the Spring bulbs, the boxes and packets seeds you are sowing this year, Tara's latest tricks in her puppyhood, the pics of the kitties and the fact that you managed a post when you wondered what to write about :)

My excuse for not writing as frequently as I did when I first began my blog about the story of the garden is that we have an elderly relative who requires as much attention as a baby. Thus my week is bound up in travelling to and fro to see to the needs of an 84 year-old.

I hope my infrequent posts still show I have a passion to finish the story :)
