Devil in Disguise

Watching Tara today I felt a song coming on, an oldie but goodie by Elvis Presley. Want to hear it too? Click the video bar on the right hand sidebar and don't forget to crank up the volume.

She looks like an angel,
Walks like an angel,
Talks like an angel
But I got wise

She rolled my paper hankie and then shredded it; my puppy is a pickpocket!

She is the devil in disguise
The Bliss team : Oh yes, she is
The devil in disguise

Tara with ex Frisbee

She fooled me with her kisses
She pick pocketed and she schemed
Heaven knows how she lied to me
She's not the way she seems
Beheaded pink cow

She's the devil in disguise
Bliss team : oh yes, she is
The devil in disguise
I thought that I was in heaven
But I was sure surprised
Heaven help me, I didn't see
The devil in her eyes

You're the devil in disguise, oh yes you are, the devil in disguise.
Tara : The devil in disguise? Me? Surely not?

Tara is12 weeks old today.

I love, love that song. It is perfect for puppies and preschool-age daughters :-)

Tara is adorable. I love the photos of the destruction she caused as well! Too funny.

Oh, Yolanda, the adventures of a curious puppy. Tara might easily morph in to Terror... but one day she'll grow up and you'll miss all her mischievous ways. Won't you??

What a sweetie! :) Happy Bow-Wow!

What a little scamp, but that sorrowful face begs your forgiveness! So funny!

Poor unfortunate animal: it is a well documented fact that most convicted hoodlums were brought up in households with in excess of four cats. What chance does she stand in a house with 144,000 of them?

PS Any sign of the turbot yet? it has been a week since despatch.

Oh she is just so adorable and doing all the things that puppies do.........perfect little Tara.......

Tara is adorable, but these first few months/years can be so stressful...I'm contemplatinh on adopting a new puppy but I fear the damage it will do to my house/garden...

Just like toddlers into everything!

*LOL* Die engel heeft haar roze speeltje al gesloopt---> haal kauwbotjes in huis...;-))))

This made me laugh :) How could such a sweet, innocent looking little puppy cause so much destruction :)

Wel zonde van haar roze speeltje, maar ik moest toch wel erg lachen, Yolanda je hebt er weer een mooi verhaal van gemaakt.

Hi all and welcome to devilish Bliss!

* Colleen: I love that song too and it's so appropriate for many a person, isn't it? ;-)

* Nikkipolani: she won't be a puppy for long and yes, I will miss that. Tara is really very sweet but as a puppy she's a bit naughty too but that is to be expected.

* Nancy: she certainly is!

* Frances: she already knows how to pull our heart strings. ;-)

* James: so you were brought up in a household with in excess of 4 cats? Crumbs, I never knew that. The things one learns while reading comments. ;-) And not to worry about Tara, if she turns out to be a hoodlum there is always Dog Borstal isn't there? And, if necessary, I could enroll her in one of Monty's schemes. He healed drug addicts with organic gardening so he could reform Tara too if she turns out to be a bad little doggy.

BTW I've seen gills nor scales of a turbot so far.

* Cheryl: Tara is right on schedule; knows her sit, down, come and fetch and she knows how to destroy too and we haven't even taught her that. ;-)

* Gintoino: a new puppy won't do much damage if you have a bench for it to keep it save. Tara has only been destroying her playthings and that's what they are there for. My house, furniture and garden are fine.

* Gail: exactly!

* We hebben kauwbotjes en balletjes en een kauwschoentje. Dat laatste is inmiddels vakkundig gesloopt. ;-)

* Amy: Tara is just being a normal puppy and the amount of damage she has caused is minimal. It's only her toys she wreaks havoc on and my tissues. ;-)

* Margo: het koetje wordt gemaakt dus dan kan ze het weer slopen. ;-)

Thanks all for visiting and commenting, as always I enjoy reading all your comments!

Tara looks so sweet and innocent. I wonder if the cats are doing things behind your back to make her look bad? One never knows what really goes one when the humans leave the room... and cats are very intelligent!

I laughed so hard my side hurts! That beheaded pink cow, is that the one her breeder gave her? I guess better the pink cow than your furniture! --Curmudgeon

aw, she is just too cute Yolanda! Must be hard to get mad at her cute little self, even if she does get a little devilish at times!

Yolanda, you can't mean that those sweet puppy eyes can disguise any devilish behavior. What a darling little pup. I am sure the Bliss team thinks their world has been turned topsy turvy.

Elvis still had lots of songs left: it's a shame what his handlers did to him. But in life, at that level of fame, its either handle the handlers or the handlers handle you. As for the pup, he didn't mean any harm. No harm, no foul!

It's been so many years since I had a puppy in the house. I had forgotten how much "fun" they are! So cute. Thanks for sharing.

She looks so adorably angelic, I bet the cats are trying to frame her in hopes you'll send her away.

Such a delightful darling of a devil! xx

Haha. That "halo" pic is too cute. The beheaded toy and chewed up hankie are all too familiar to me. PottRott also chewed up a couch and door-not another rottweiler puppy I swear.

She looks so sweet and innocent. Who could resist those eyes.

Mr. McGregor's Daughter said...

LOL! The beheaded cow got me! My old mutt used to destroy squeaky toys within about 5 minutes of getting one. She'd rip it open & pull the squeaker out. But she was an angel compared to the antics of our other dogs as puppies: deupholsterd recliner chair, chewed leg of antique dresser, chewed up couch cushions, chewed off bill of wooden decoy duck, shredded dollar bills, attacked & ripped Bible, destroyed hand made personalized Christmas door hanging (mini sled), pulled down screen door (Dacshund), torn & unstuffed plush toys, ripped open & sampled bag of flour. I can laugh about it now, and someday you will too.

Hahahaha......leuk dat liedje.
Wat dat betreft is ze net onze Blondie toen die nog een pup was, die maakte ook alles kapot, succes er mee.
Maar het is en blijft een dotje hoor, jullie Tara.

How can you not fall down in adoration before the cutest, sweetest little puppy face as depicted here! (well, unless you are a cat, I suppose). Pink cows beware!

LOL... I'm going with Carol's theory. It was the cats--poor sweet, innocent Tara is just outnumbered, and can't shake the set-up!!! :)

She's soooo adorable. And not nearly as destructive as my dog was... yet. Come back and talk to me about her being the devil in disguise when she chews the bottom half of one side of a hollow-core door off, okay? ;)

I know that look so well! They just about tolerate us making them pose for pictures. What a wonderful puppy! Thank you.

What a cuddlesome bundle. When your socks start disappearing, Yolanda, you'll know where to look. What is it with dogs and socks?

Zo moet een duiveltje eruit zien; kan mij echter voorstellen, dat het Bliss team de humor ervan echt niet kan zien :-)
