It Takes Two

The only way to have a friend is to be one. Ralph Waldo Emerson

True friendship is seen through the heart and not through the eyes. Unknown

A friend is a present you give yourself. Robert Louis Stevenson

Similarities create friendships, while differences hold them together. Unknown

True friendship comes when silence between 2 people is comfortable. David Tyson Gentry

True friendship is like sound health, the value of it is seldom known until it be lost. Charles Caleb Colton

Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then, with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away. George Elliot

hallo Yolanda, back in town and trying to catch up on my favorite blogs. I love your cat pictures. The pink/green tulip is in my garden as well. Planted it last year and hope it will return. Have a nice weekend! Andrea

I love your two theme. I am also fond of the the quote by George Elliot, I have that in a friendship book and have quoted in several times to family and friends.

Aw very cute pictures! And the post is very well-thought out! I really loved reading this, Yolanda. It was very sweet! And of course, the kitties look gorgeous!

Oh now those photos are adorable! And your title, "It Takes Two" also reminded me of the song from the musical, "Into the Woods":

Hi all and welcome to Bliss!

Marleen: be-dankt!!! ;-)

Birgit: I had more than 2 Greenland tulips I'm happy to say. These were the last 2 of a group of 5.
The picture with the baby and 2 Maine Coon cats is very special as the cats are baby's 2 guardian angels.

Andrea: welcome back and I see that the Greenland tulip is also populair with garden bloggers. ;-)

Carol: thanks and right back at you! ;-)

Robin: George's quote is a good one, isn't it? She was a very clever and insightful lady.

Thalia: thank you, I'm glad you liked it.

Dawn: thanks for the link!

Dear Yolanda. As usual, I'm blown away by the beauty and creativity of your blog. You are so generous with your time in showing us so much of interest. I love it all - the cats, the shed, flowers, fruit and veg.

Hello all and welcome to Bliss.

Oldroses: I don't know. I had ordered Iris Bold Print but got this one (among others) instead. I call it Abra. ;-)

Ladyluz: thank you, it's good to be appreciated. :-)

Gisela: I love this pic as it shows so clearly the loving relationship that is possible between different species.

Nature Girl: exactly! I knew you would get it in one. ;-)

Christa: little Bombalurina was one of the sweetest and funniest kittens I ever had the privilage to meet. My Vita is her mommy.

Ach sind das nette Fotos, hast du die alle selber gemacht? Besonders das Katzenfoto mit dem Baby ist ja so süß.
Hier ist es jetzt ein bißchen kühler geworden, aber geregnet hat es leider immer noch nicht!

YE, you have a gift for portraying sweetness and light. I don't know whether the sun always shines in the Netherlands or whether you just don't show the clouds, but your blog always brightens my day.

Hi all and welcome to Bliss.

Lis: I took all the pictures, except the one with the baby, that one was made by the parents.
They say that it will rain on Monday and Tuesday here. I hope it will rain in Germany too.

Pam: what a lovely compliment, thank you!

Anita und Monika: glad you liked the pics, especially those of the cats.

Hi Yolanda,

Always look forward to reading your Blog. You give such variety in your posts.

I particularly enjoyed the Garfield pic – it reminded me of a cake I made for my sister. The expression on the face of the cat beside made me laugh.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend - and the rain next week we are to get some too.

Hello everybody and welcome to Bliss!

Shirl: variety is the spice of life!
Bombalurina's nickname was Funnyface because she made us laugh a lot!

Green Thumb: thank you for your very kind words!

Kylee: that makes two of us. ;-)

Sanni: those Irises are pretty but also unexpected because I had ordered a different colour.

Sigrun: Danke!

Reema: welcome and thanks!

Silke: yes, cats (or other pets) are very good to have when there are children about. Cats are good for their imune system among other things, such as hugging, petting, playing and care taking. ;-)

I especially love the two cats with the baby in the middle, so cute! It finally has started to rain here tonight after 44 days of no rain and lot's of unsual warm spring days. Hope the rain has reached your garden paradise too! Have a wonderful new week! Carol xox
