Shortly after Vita's return (see previous post) we built the feliary. It's right next door to the conservatory so the cats can go into the feliary whenever they want. Which is often as they love it. And why shouldn't they, it's got all the mod cons any self respecting kittycat could hope for:
the feliary is spacious,
has a fabulous view,
a great outdoor dining space,
loads of green stuff for munching and rolling in such as grasses and catnip,
gorgeous scents wafting through the air,
a grape arbour that thoughtfully provides shade and lots of amusing little green balls to pick and play with,
and all the running water, complete with the sound of gently trickling water, any thoroughly spoiled kittycat might need. Entertainment has also been kindly provided in the shape of one small dog in case the kittycats get bored.
Utter outdoor Bliss!

I bet we could find you out there often too. What a wonderful place for your cats and one small dog to be able to roam.
No wonder they love it, YE! I would love to have a space where Hazel could be outside, but safe from harm. The entertainment seems first class. :-) xxxooo

Hi Yolanda,
That is a mighty fine place for your cats!
One word of warning however - lilies are extremely toxic to cats, even the pollen which can get onto their coats and they lick it off. So perhaps having lilies in a confined space like that with the cats is a bit risky.
that is an amazing place to relax
I envy those cats
Vita obviously had been wanting a private, luxurious kitty spa for sometime and took desperate measures to communicate her desire. And nice to get a peek at the cats' view of your beautiful garden too.
Heaven indeed ♥
Hello, this is a great safe place for cats. I wish I could have a place like that for my cats too.But they are outdoor kitties.
Your garden is beautiful and your cats too!
Wonderful place for all your cats!!
Bliss' heaven for two and four legged craetures:)
Love your garden pictures too!!
Great solution. It looks lovely.
Als ik kat was, wilde ik bij jullie wonen, heb nog nooit zo een paradijsje voor de poezenbeesten gezien... geweldig
How great is that! The feliary looks just fantastic. You've got a dreamy garden... I wish I were a cat in your home.
Kind regards
Alex
Dear Yolanda, your cats are very lucky and you were able to build a beautiful and safe cat garden for them! Are you familiar with this site below? I think you should send your pictures to show the world because your version of the "catio" is so special:

What a wonderful idea! They can see the birds. Seems like Tara enjoys being out there too. Would you like to send a photo of Tara for my forthcoming Dogblog? She is gorgeous and everyone out here in blogland needs to see that! xx
I love your garden! and definitely your dog and cats loved them too. you did a great job designing your garden, looks perfect.
Hi, Elizabet! Your cats must be satisfied with their lives - amazing view of a beautiful garden, scents, birds, a dog and caring people around.
Te white composition over tha roof is quite attractive!
What a fine area for your beloved cats to stroll and relax in Yolanda. I'm sure that Tara must be quite happy there too.
This is great, Yolanda. I keep saying we need to build something similar for our furfamily, but we need to do some other things here first. Maybe in the spring, after the walkways and the greenhouse reno and the upstairs room painting and....(our kitties are now jealous).
Hi its Ken from Sweden here.
I see that you have our old blogadress on your blogroll.

How clever! My cat would love a feliary!
I was so relieved to hear that Vita had been located due to your resourcefulness and dedication. I'm also pleased to see that you have found a super way of giving your beloved cats freedom while also keeping them close to home :) All is well!
What a great space, they sure are lucky cats! Your garden is looking beautiful.
I want to live in the feliary. I do. Did I mention I have a stray momma cat who has a lot of Russian blue in her? All but the beautiful blue eyes. She had three gray kittycats who looked just like her.I must get her spayed before she produces many, many more.
BTW, all the kitties live here in our giant feliary, the garden.
How wonderful to have your feline friends safe but not confined inside, Yolanda!
I remember seeing something like this a few years ago at the home of our TV & radio garden guru Tom Spencer and thought it was a good idea. Then one of my sons built a screened porch so his cat can wander in and out...but this looks much grander!

I know what it is like to lose a puss cat, but I to searched, never gave up and found. My neighbours cat went missing during the summer and they did not search so hard and sadly she has never been seen since, breaks my heart and she wasn't even my cat!!!
So glad your cats are all safe and well.
That looks like a purfect place for kitties to play and frolic.
I'm so glad you didn't give up and found your Vita!
Beautiful, and safe too! I really like that fountain, I'd like to have one very similar to that for my garden.
Ha ha ha. But that one cat is just sad. SAD!
What a wonderful space and no outlet for escape artists! :)
