There's Bliss On the Menu

Well there is Bliss on the menu

And you don't know what you are missing
Gentle reader make a meal out of Bliss
Take a big bite
Or a nibble
Tomato entree, bon appetit!
Gentle reader, never stop your commenting
Never stop, have a good vintage wine
Come, let's eat outside and have our
Just desserts
Tea and sympathy, with a hint of mint
I'll be the knife if you'll be the fork
I'll try the salad
If you'll try the pork.
There's always the waiter who knows his potato
Sugar
and spice
Give me that savoured Bliss
Cheap at the price
Give me that flavoured Bliss
Sugar and spice, it tastes so very nice.
Well there's Bliss on the menu and you don't even have to do the dishes!

Bliss is on the menu
For me and you

YUM!!!!

Hope you played the vid as it's just ever so slightly off the wall. Split Enz is one of my favourite bands which didn't stop me from (ripping them off) borrowing errrrrrr being very inspired by their lyrics to create this post. The original lyrics to their song Sugar and Spice you'll find here.

Yummm...I can never have enough of Bliss. The hospitality is amazing; the ambiance breathtaking; and the food one can kill for. I am soaked in bliss completely and hopelessly...

Harvest time is so rewarding. Does Tara always dress for dinner?

(I only knew one Split Enz song before reading this post ... I don't know why sometimes I get frightened ...)

Like those Finn Boys and their tunes! Do you like Crowded House? Great photos as usual!
Cat as Dishwasher very cute...!
cheers,

Our heat wave has come to an end too, we actually had 'hail' this morning and its a very cool 12C outside!!!!
I love Tara's little pants, my neighbour has those for her dog too!

* Green Thumb: thanks once again for a very tasty comment, it was delicious. ;-)

* Entangled: yes, she is a very sophisticated widdle doggywog. ;-)
Glad to have extended your knowledge of SPlit Enz songs. ;-)

* Sophie: like Crowded House? Nah, I love it! Went to a concert of theirs in Brussels almost 2 years ago and it was the best I ever attended.
BTW it's the honorary cat that's the new dishwasher. ;-)

Hope the band is flattered by being placed in such an appetizing setting, Yolanda - as usual am a bit jealous of all the produce and flowers. The table looks wonderful - maybe in a few months we can think about sitting outside once again, too.

It's fun to see that Queen of the Prairie/Filipendula blooming in Holland.

Such delicious, tempting post...Your salad alone is a feast for the eyes! And look at sweet Tara helping with the dishes...aaawww...tee-hee... Happy Days :o)

Pretty tasty looking stuff there! I haven't seen the vid yet, but I can hear the rhythm in your "lyric" adaptation :-)

Tara is very accommodating in the dressing up department! I love the salad - next time I make one I'll try to remember to do a forage for Borage.

Yolanda Elizabet Heuzen said...

* Libby: Tara has six, even one that has pretty little flowers and a pink bow. ;-) Glad your heatwave is over too and dito on the hail.

* Annie: such a shame to you're cooped up inside at the mo. Love the Queen of the Prairie, met her for the first time at Piet Oudolf's.

* Tracy: Tara is such a good little helper when it comes to food. ;-)

* Anna: it's a joy eating fresh food from your garden.

* EG: Tara is a very sweet and remarkably relaxed little doggywog who doesn't mind being dressed up.
Forage for the borage, I like that!

Is that a new state of the art dishwasher by any chance? You don't need such a good one if Tara licks the plates clean first.

Your food shots always get to me, YE! That salad is the most beautiful thing ever. Love Tara as both angel and dishwasher. :-)

A blissful feast for the eyes! What a colourful harvest and presentation! This is what gardening is all about ~ the fruits of your labour. Very creative use and adaptation of the lyrics ~ and your new dishwasher looks like it's very energy efficient and cute to boot!

You have given me an appetite now, Yolanda..summer salads...utter bliss indeed!

Wonderful having Tara rinse the dishes first...an eco-saving-doggy...great!

Yolanda, I love this post! I see Taras training is coming on a treat. I wonder if I could teach Buddy to clean the dishes! I love the fairy outfit, you could take photos of the fairies down the bottom of your garden!

I think I going to have to go and demand that they cabbage white catepillars share some of their nasturtiums with me. That salad looks wonderful.

Love the dishwasher fairy,

Ooo that white table with the wicker chairs is where I want to have my meals. Nice!

* Arabella: It's Tara who is my state of the art dishwasher. She licks the plates cleaner than the dishwasher could ever make them. ;-)

* Frances: I was very pleased by the way they turned out and that salad was both beautiful and scrumptious.

* Glo: Tara is better than de dishwasher is, in every way, and she can wag her little tail too. What dishwasher could say the same?

* WG: those summer salads are a firm favourite of mine too. The potager provides such a bounty at the mo and I'm loving it.

* Shandell: welcome and it's good to know that you had a little helper too.

* Mike: happy gardening to you too!

* Sarah: hi, glad you enjoyed it so. I think you will have no problem teaching Buddy to clean the plates, he's probably a natural at it. Tara's training is going swimmingly, she top of her class now and I'm so proud of her.

* RO: yes, do give the cabbage white caterpillars a firm talking to. You've got to have a few nasturtiums for your salads too.

* Donna: you've got that right, it's great to sit there and have a meal.

I see that Tara is trying to tell the Queen of the Prairie that she is the true Queen of the castle. This post made me hungry.!

OMG Yolanda I am still laughing about that wine title !
I love seeing Tara doing the dishes too .. desert, well you have to know that was my favorite ? picture .. there is most certainly tons of BLISS in your home girl ! : )

I never heard this group, but I'm loving the vid along with all the wonderful flowers and veggies grown @ Bliss. If only I lived closer. :) You crack me up.~~Dee

Monica the Garden Faerie said...

Wow, your outdoor furniture is so fancy and you have *two* dishwashers! :)

Yolanda Elizabet Heuzen said...

* Lisa: grin, it does look very tasty, doesn't it?

* Joy: it's hilarious, isn't it? It's an Australian wine, so very much in keeping with the band. ;-) Every time Tara washes the dishes it makes me smile.

* Dee: it's a rather obscure band from New Sealand/Oz so I'm not surprised that you've never heard of it. Sigh, if only! Glad I made you laugh!

* Monica: it was rather expensive, I don't think I've ever bought anything as fancy as that but it will have to last a loooooooooong time. I know, I'm spoiled with 2 dishwashers and both eco-friendly. ;-)

I love when you show photos of your potager with the stepping stones. I was just beginning the pre-layout phase of mine on Friday. I have to get some stepping stones and other supplies but it'll eventually happen. Yours is such an inspiration.

Cor, what an original post, YE. And such a feast for sore eyes. Dear little Tara, cleaning the dishes (all dogs love that, don't they).

Very enjoyable.

Tara the terror AND your garden bounty are both growing beautifully, Yolanda. I've been running behind again, but glad to see things are going well in your corner of the blogosphere.
